James Dean

Completed in 2013, this painting is currently for sale on my Etsy store. It is a painting of James Dean smoking a cigarette while on his motorcycle.

This painting took me 2 weeks to finish. It is on a stretched canvas measuring at 18 x 24" at a 1 3/8" depth. When I decide to start a "black and white" painting, I always choose a few colors to create the black, as regular black oil paint has no depth. This particular piece was used with a red tint, and is slightly visible when the painting is tilted in the light. This is one of my favorite pieces, and I will be happy to see it go to a good home.
